Ever feel like your title should be "Chief Everything Officer"?

Because Tired CEOs Don't Change the World....

That familiar buzz of your phone at 3 AM. The forgotten lunch meetings. The endless "urgent" notifications. If this sounds like your daily reality, you're not alone. The corner office comes with a hidden price tag – but it doesn't have to be your health.

What if building stamina was as crucial as building strategy?

Spoiler alert: Your morning triple espresso isn't the answer.

Burnout is something every CEO faces at some point, but there are daily rituals that can help keep it at bay before it even starts creeping in.

These rituals aren’t about grand changes but small, impactful tweaks that can make a big difference in your day.

One effective practice is visualization.

Take five minutes in the morning to imagine your ideal day—what it looks like, how you’ll handle challenges, and how you’ll feel when things go right. It might sound simple, but visualizing your day helps set a focused tone.

Nature walks can do wonders too. It’s called "forest bathing" in Japan, and it’s not about fitness but being present in nature.

Even 15 - 20 minutes outside can reduce stress hormones like cortisol. A study in Japan showed how just being in nature can lower stress, boost mood, and even improve focus.

A less talked about method is the Pomodoro Technique paired with mini mindfulness breaks.

This means working in focused 25-minute blocks, followed by a 5-minute mental reset. It’s surprising how these tiny breaks can prevent burnout.

It’s not about pushing through the whole day, but about giving yourself these small moments to recharge.

Finally, a digital sunset is a game-changer. This simply means turning off screens and gadgets two hours before bed.

The blue light from screens messes with your sleep, and poor sleep is a straight path to burnout. Research shows that CEOs who stick to a digital sunset routine sleep better and feel more refreshed, ready to take on another packed day.

These rituals don’t require major lifestyle overhauls. It’s about making small changes that help you recharge before burnout hits.

What's your go-to burnout prevention ritual?
